Laurie Jacobs is a senior in English Secondary Education. This paper was written for E301, Literature to 1600, with Dr. Blodgett. "The original assignment was to choose any reading for our final paper to analyze in a sense of historical value. The Wife of Bath fascinated me with her courageous and early feminist views. Even more amazing, was the fact that Chaucer (a man) had so convincingly written from her point-of-view. I felt that this historical feminism was important to re-explore in the context of modern thought".
