Intensive Japanese Language and Culture in Japan

In this program you will spend three weeks in Tokyo, taking an intensive course of Japanese at your own level. We will also use the weekends, as well as five extra days at the end, to visit a number of sites in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima and more.

While in Tokyo we will live in the Asakusa district, a very traditional area, with many interesting attractions (just look up You Tube “Sanja Matsuri”!). The classes will be in Akihabara, in the business heart of Tokyo. We will also visit the Imperial Palace gardens, Harajuku, Akihabara and much more.

In Kyoto we will visit the Golden Pavilion, the bamboo forest of Arashiyama, and the mountain Fushimi Inari shrine and its 10,000 Torii gates.

EALC-J 333 Foreign Study in Japanese, 3rd Year; OR
EALC-J 433 Foreign Study in Japanese, 4th Year

Applications are due by December 1, 2021.

A non-refundable deposit of $300 is due by February 1, 2022. The final balance must be either paid in full or have a commitment of financial aid in place by April 1, 2022.

$4,300 plus tuition for six credit hours. The program costs includes airfare, transportation, housing, cultural activities, excursions, textbooks, and language school tuition.
