COVID-19 Checklist

IU South Bend Procedures and Guidelines (as of December 2020)

  1. Sign Community Responsibility Acknowledgement (One.IU)
  2. Obtain a flu shot before returning to campus in the spring and complete the Flu Vaccine Reporting Form (One.IU)
  3. Participate in mitigation testing as notified
  4. Wear face coverings in all hallways, elevators, public spaces, common areas, and when entering and exiting buildings. In locations where physical distancing is difficult to ensure or maintain, face coverings are required. This includes office spaces (including cubicles), outdoor spaces, and other locations where intermittent interactions with others might occur, such as seating near aisle ways and other passages.
    Note: IU is providing two free face masks to all students and employees
  5. Maintain physical distance of at least six feet from others
  6. Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If water is not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  7. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  8. Avoid contact with people who are sick
  9. Stay home while sick and avoid close contact with others. Note: Those with a temperature of 100.4 or above must stay home
  10. Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or a tissue when coughing or sneezing and immediately dispose of the used tissue
  11. Avoid hand shaking to reduce the spread of germs
